In May 2010 Her Majesty the Queen visited Hares Leap Farm Shop at The Barn.

The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh officially opened the restored North Bay Open Air Theatre, before visiting Hares Leap during their tour of the Duchy of Lancaster’s Cloughton Holding.
